This parcel of land was offered to us to build a church for the Indian village where we brought food. The land was offered for approximately $10 per square meter. $5,000 would roughly purchase a 100 x 50 lot. $10,000 would buy a 100 x 100 lot, which would be enough for a building and still room enough for outdoor activities. The church would probably be built out of the most plenteous building material around: volcanic rock. The roof would be wood truss with a tin roof. It may sound a bit primitive, but the church would be one of the nicest buildings among this and other Indian villages nearby that would use it.
